|1978 southwind wiring...HELP||diane||3-1-15|
|I have a 1978 southwind rv with the built in bunkbeds..the tires on it are 8 ply 8x17 5s..cant find them anymore dont kno what to do without changing rims...also when applying brakes i have no brake lights i have cleaned all the wires and gunk now the turn signals and headlights work but still no,brake parking or running lights...leaving state in 7 days need help!!!!!!|

You will have to buy wheels, there are lots of used wheels out there to fit, just ask for to fit dually pickup that year and make chassis. Southwind is not the chassis builder. CHev Ford or Dodge is.
You need to do a basic wiring trouble shoot. As a guess you have bad grounds every where.
These Motor Homes tended to use the sskin to ground the lights, That ground rots and will need serious repair. We generally fish a wire from all lights to a chassis ground when we do one of these. 6 hours work ish
