|My 87 Ford Tioga Motorhome wont start.||Kat||9-4-14|
|I have a "87" Ford Tioga Motorhome that was given to me wene my brother past. I'v only had it for about 6mths. It has a 460 motor in it & Is only driven about twice every two wks & Each time I go to start it I have to start by spraying starting fluid directly into the carb. But today that method failed to start the engine. So I tried to jump start it w/no luck. Then I noticed I was only getting spark wene I turned off the ignition? Can anybody Help direct me in the right direction to solve this problem? Im only guessing but if it is the Ignition Switch could smone recommend where I might find a how to do it myself step by step video? Any Help would be appriciated? Thank You. Mel|

|Having to use starting fluid is a sign of either a weak fuel pump or weak spark.|
The ignition will spark when you turn off the key if the ignition works at all.
So does it spark while cranking?
What if you fill the carboreator flot bowl with gas?
You problem is 98% certain not the ignition switch.
