1988 e350 cut away no start 460 ron 6-9-14
I have a 1988 ford e350 cut away van with the460 in it. Yesterday underload it started to hesitate, today died completely Changed the inline fuel filter it only has.3 volts at the high pressure pump that's on the frame under the drivers door, should it have 12v present?

Making a big guess, the start battery got hooked up backwards for a split second, maybe just a little spark, and popped the fuseable link that powers all the control systems.

One of your battery cables, cable ends or conections is dirty and disturbing it cause your trouble.

Good Luck

Oops wrong answer for the post.

Should have 12 volts. Check grounds first, I am going to bet bad relay though.
