This unit only had 1 owner besides us. He gave up on problem -- I was determined to find and repair it !! The unit lacked power on hills, on quick acceleration would not even hold it's speed on slight upgrades. Asked for advice from GM got none?? asked for advice from RV dealers from Montreal to Florida it was going to be expensive to find and even more to repair was the general concensus.. I raed all the entries on this site and again it seemed $$$ was going to be the answer but it wasn't-- a simple relay and $125.00 could have fixed it with the right direction, the cure is too long to print here but if you write me I'll gladly share my info and guess what?? it's absolutely free!!!

I had just discovered this site, and found it to be very helpful. Most often than not, people want $$$ first before even giving you advice on anything, but here, I've found people are nice, sincere, and basically very helpful, such as yourself. I just wanted to say thanks to all, and people such as you who don't mind sharing their knowledge and experiences. New to the RV scene, I am beginning to realize that RV people, for the most part, are great folks. All the best.

I would like a little more on your repair. Mine was a gas problem. Added an electric fuel pump, relay and an oil pressure switch no problems since.

1992 Chev 454 is getting gas into the oil and boiling it out. so far ever mech. is guessing as to cure, has anyone run into problem and has cure thanks

Hi, Just found this site. hope you can help! Have 1995 winnebago Brave 29' 454 cid engine. Traveled to osarks Mts this weekend found myself in second gear trying to pull up "small" hills. On the way home to memphis had to run drive at about 5 miles gal Would not pull in overdrive on flat highway.No power at all. This was using 91 oct fuel. Help! This mh only has 34000 miles on it. Jim

Mr. Veys could you please email me with the solution of the 454 loosing power on upgrades and hills I am also having this problem with no answers

Wanting to buy a 454 chev b-block to suit rebuild. Buy in Australia only, and wanting to spend $1000 or less. Or you can call Ben Carmody on 0414264503. Thanks to anyone who can help.
