|1990 pace arrow 454 c.i. gm no fuel to run||Bob||12-15-12|
|After not starting for two months or so, the engine cranks but will not run unless ether is sprayed into TB, and quits as soon as ether burns up.|
It sounds like the pump starts when the ignition is turned on.
I have already replaced fuel filter.
I disconnected fuel line and there is no fuel coming through.
I want to make sure fuel pump is the problem before trying to replace it and it is not some sensor causing the pump not to pump fuel.

|It has been sitting for a while, did someone steal your fuel?|
Next: There is a relay that runs your fuel pump, it is possible to "hot wire" this pretty easy and make the pump run. Try that and see if it pumps fuel. If it does then it is likely you have a control failure, bad fuse on control side, bad fuel pressure switch etc.
If the pump runs but no fuel comes out you need figure out if there is a restriction in the lines like a second filter or a kink or such. Then drop the tank and look inside.
If the fuel pump does not run, check for power to the relay.
Then drop the tank and look inside for issues like a bad pump.
Very often these problems trace back to a blown fuse as the relay is powered 100% of the time and the control system turns it on and off.

|I started the coach after driving about 75 miles, it all of a sudden died and will only attempt to run if I put in a little gas in the carb. Is there a fuse to the pump?|
