I have a 1999 chevy 2500 Express van. m The other day, the speedometer started to jump like crazy, the engine was hesitating and sounded like it was going to stall when you came to a stop, but it did not. Prior to that, there have been a couple of occasions where you apply the gas, but it did'nt speed up, just hesitated along for a short while. Seemed like it was waiting for something to kick in. The speedometer is back to normal, and it seems to run alright at the moment. Any clues?

Connected problems I think. If I had to flat out guess you have an intermitant wiring problem. Probably a couple grounds from the engine block to chassis that are loose corroded or one or more of the dedicated the ground wires is broken to the computer. Good Luck
