I have a 85 itasca and right at half tank the generator shuts off. A few miles down the road it acts like I am running out of gas. I still have 20gal left? Any ideas?

Sounds like an internal tank pick up problem that will require the tank to be dropped to diagnose Good Luck

The generator is SUPPOSED to shut off--around 1/2 tank so you don't get stranded from running the generator-so you can still drive the RV and NOT run out of gas---all RV's are made this way,i'm on my 4th one- rich in va.
