Air pumps on 460	John	5-13-09
I have a 1988 allegro R.V that has a John Deere chassis and a Ford 460 that has 2 air pumps on engine that a fan belt turns and goes to alternator also.What are these air pumps ?The R.V runs fine without them.1 of them is froze up.

Air injector emission pumps add low pressure air to the exhaust fro cleane r burning onf the fuel mant states they are REquired and MUST be there to pass inspection for correct emissions---shoule be availablr any auto zone--or advance under "truck"
