1988 Champion LaSalle 32' Class A, chevy 454 BB engine began stalling out after I had driven about 800 miles. This rig has had a multitude of problems. Have done things like replace hoses, new alternator, new fuel filters, new starter, new starter solenoid, new ignition control module, new engine idle control motor relay, plus had to have the a.c. worked on early this summer, had to add four units of freeon or whatever it is called. I have read about a problem with gmc dexcool and engine intake manifold gaskets getting degraded from something in the coolant causing seizing of the whole engine. GM has made a new type of a gasket for this that is less degradable but I don't know if this is my problem.
Here is the current issue: Idles way too high, hard to keep idling, and while driving there is a complete loss of power over and over. Sure would like to get back on the road. Thanks for any help you can offer.
