Many possible problems. The first and easiest to check is has a critter built a nest in your air intake? Check to see if it's clear. Same with exsaust. The system could be plugged by a bad converter (if equeped) bad muffler, intereior of the pipe colapse, kids stuffing things up the tail pipe etc. To test un hook at the front of the (engine end)furthest forward muffler, converter, etc. and test run. This should eliminate the most obvious problems. The next is a fuel supply or flow problem, less likly as you smell fuel. Last a bad coil or other electrical component that dies under load. Have seen ignition modules die like this but usually the efect shows up and gets progressivly worse. |
