|Many possible problems. The first and easiest to check is has a critter built a nest in your air intake? Check to see if it's clear. Same with exsaust. The system could be plugged by a bad converter (if equeped) bad muffler, intereior of the pipe colapse, kids stuffing things up the tail pipe etc. To test un hook at the front of the (engine end)furthest forward muffler, converter, etc. and test run. This should eliminate the most obvious problems. The next is a fuel supply or flow problem, less likly as you smell fuel. Last a bad coil or other electrical component that dies under load. Have seen ignition modules die like this but usually the efect shows up and gets progressivly worse.|

|I have 1990 pinnacle 460 John deere chassis. I buy a new battery works good that day but next day won't star complete dead. The problem could be the other batterys? Or what shoukd be the problem? And whe was working good smell smoke from the exaust|

|I have a 1993 Gulfstream on a Ford F53 chassis with 7.5 L 460 engine that has the same problem as described by Rich. I have replaced the fuel pump, filter, Throttle Position sensor,Catalytic Converter,muffler & tailpipe, Fuel pressure regulator, Ignition Module and after driving for a few miles it has a power loss when pulling hills and will run only 35 to 40 mph. It idles perfect, and when reving the engine it is normal. I'v pulled the fuel tank and had it cleaned. I've spent over $2000.00 and the unit still runs terrible under a load. Tom|

|I just bought a 1990 34' JD chassis with a 460. It needs a ton of work, but right now I need a heater fan and teh heater/ac control unit that mounts in the dash. Anyone know where I should look?|
