I have an 89 6V92TA that cranks very easy with only 2 group 31 batteries even in cooler weather with almost no smoke at all on startup. Engine runs smooth while idling with only a very faint hint of smoke on fast idle.. The PROBLEM is, I get large amounts of either white or grey smoke when engine is put under load taking off from a dead stop, or on fast acceleration while in neutral. The smoke seems to be worse after it has been idling for a few minutes. I don't even get any smoke while running engine at constant speeds even at high RPM's. Can anyone help me figure out what is making it smoke so bad under fast acceleration or when put under load? |
