We have the same issue. Today we hooked up the battery for the first time in our 1975 Layton, (we got it almost free - it's been sitting for 11 years) With the battery connected and NO other power to the trailer the converter kept kicking on, the power to the lights increased (lights got brighter) a coil in the converter glowed and then shut off again. It did this even with all the lights off and no other known power draw on the system. One suggestion was that the draw was too high - something is shorting out. Don't know if this is correct but the suggestion was to pull the fuses one by one ans see if it stops. At least the problem may be isolated that way. Love to hear any suggestions - we're still learning. I didn't even know the converted did this. |
