1988 Ranger Eric 2-17-08  
I have an 88 ranger thats running on 3 cylinders. I have changed the plugs, wires and fuel injectors. Still running the same. any suggestions??

Trouble shoot by: Figuring out wich is the dead lung. By the way do you here snaping noise as the ignition shorts to ground? Is one of the plugs wet when you pull it? Do a compression test. If any of the Cylindersa have less than 100 psi that is probably the culpret. Next do a cylinder short test by allowing the truck to run and pulling the plug wires off one at a time. Don't forget your chicken plyers. Once you know the hole check the spark, I get an old plug and lay it on the manifold conected to the wire. Good spark is blue accross the gap. Move the plug away from the ground it should jump another gap width to ground. If the cyl is not firing the plug should be wet. NOt wet no fuel. The injector wiring not the injector is probably at fault. Good Luck
