One thing you didn't say was if you were conected to a battery when you ran the fan. The converter needs to be conected to a battery to work corectly and long term. You need to test this in the folowing way: need to measure Output voltage disconected from the batteries(13.5 +). Then need to measure voltage conected to the battery. Measure the battery voltage first (should be over 12.4) Then conect converter, voltage should jump to 13.8 - 14.2. If we have seen these levels then measure voltage with the load conected (Fan/Light) and check voltage. Should not drop below 13.7 at rated output for the converter. |
