Post New Message I think the first thing is to charge the house batteries. If they are dead they could easily draw in ecess of a hundred amps off the chassis. This will blow the breaker or fuse and over stress your alternator. Second need to check to see if you have a short to ground through the wires you diconeted. We should also detirmine how the batteries went dead. If the unit sat for a month with the batteries on that would do it, If it has a short that is also the other problem, we need to find this. Some units require that the batteries be charged from an external additional charger when multiple batteries are installed. Good Luck
