Add side body turn signals to 5th wheel Artm 1-15-08  
I want to add turn signal lights to the side of my 5th wheel, the kind that busses have or semi trailers have. Can I just tap into the current turn signal wires or do I have to run separate lines for them pwerhaps with a relay? Any ideas anyone? A picture is worth a thousand words. A wiring schematic would be great if anyone can do that. Thanks!

The easy answer is yes you can just tap the current wiring. But the lights will work as brake lights also. To me not a big deal. I prefer to use LED for retrofits like you are proposing as they draw very little power and will not overload the system. You probably would have to wire a difrent plug and do some fancy wiring to get the lights to operate like a semi trailer. (Seperate brak and signal) Good Luck
