I recently bought an '88 ranger 2.3 5 spd. The guy told me it would run momentarily then shut off. When I got it home it wouldn't do that. I had to spray gas into the intake to get it to run, then it would shut off. I changed the filter, no change. I checked to see if I could hear the fuel pumps working, I could hear both of them run. What else can I check? Thanks, John T.

HEY JOHN. I JUST WENT THROUGH ALL THAT CRAP. WELL I FOUND IT WAS THE COMPUTER THE BRAINS OF IT ALL EVEN RUNS THE FUEL. REPLACE THAT AND YOU SHOULD BE FINE..ITS LOCATED IN CAB PASSENGER SIDE UNDER DASH.ON SIDE MICHELE
