The best way to do this is to buy the auto change over switch. My unit has a three position manual change over to switch between gen set inverter and shore power, I don't think it is avaiable any more and I have to rember to shut off the converter the way it is wired. An inverter large enough to run your whole unit will probably come with an integral converter. Do not power your unit off the inverter while charging the batteries from the converter. If you are plugged in use the shore power to run the unit. Converters are expensive and will be massivly over loaded by this. An average 55 amp converter will provide 700 watts power. The microwave draws 1000 watts (Give or take 200). Plus light plus furnace plus plus plus. Good Luck |
