I disagree strongly about not plugging your unit into a GFI circuit or outlet. Some converters with no problems will trip a GFi but in general a triped GFI indicates a problem. We use them in our shop as we have had several techs shocked by faulty trailers. It sounds as if you have a faulty cord, end plug on the trailer where the supply cord hooks etc etc. The most common one we see is a trailer pluged in with a light cord into the normal wall outlet in the garage. This causes failures of breakers that will not re set, burnt out outlets, burnt out cords, damaged wiring in the trailer etc. |
