We have a 96 safari continental rv w/ a magnum intellidrive system (computer)in the dash. it displays engine operations, gas mileage, trip odometer,etc. it doesnt light up much anymore. any im wondering were we should start looking? any ideas? if any one knows where to get a manual for it also?thanks

I have a 1996 Safari CAT 3126 with the Magnum Intellidrive.....it is reporting occasional overheat messages and shuts down the engine. The other guage never shows overtemp. I do not lose any coolant. Any ideas? kurt

Hi Kurt you may know the system works by eavesdropping on the communication channel between the 3126 and the Alison auto box, you problem may well be that the transmission fluid is overheating, check the level, change the oil maybe passed service life or time and check any transmission heat exchanger or coolers are clean and free of debris, the oil overheating will cause the engine to shut down, hope this info helps.
