Onan Genset Problem Rich 11-26-07
We were running our genset this weekend. It ran fine for aprox. 5 hrs. and then the generator shutdown. We tried to restart you can hear it click however it will not turn over. I cleaned the battery cable @ the genset and not having any problem starting the motorhome (same battery powers both). We checked the code and it reads 32. Do you have any suggestions?

What model generator? Is it a gas unit?
HGJA?
Re: Onan Genset Problem scott 12-1-07
32 is low crankin speed- a.replace the Fuse F2(Starter solenoid) if it has blown. b. clean and tighten the positive and neg c. recharge the battery
d.change the oil, if ness, to oil having the proper viscosity for the ambient temp high oil viscosity can slow cranking speed. this is out of the manuel forhdkaj and hdkak

Check the oil level in the Generator. If it is low, it shuts off. If that doesn't fix it, you may need to replace the oil pressure sensor. You can bypass it to test it.
