Is this a converter problem? Isabella 8-8-07
Hi All,
I'm a new pup owner, we bought a used 2002 Starcraft a couple months
ago and took it out for the first time last week. Once we arrived we
plugged in the electrical for the first time. Lights worked, and so did the plugins. A few hours later the lights started blinking? My husband
thought it might be a fuse, but we tried changing out the fuse, again
the lights worked fine for a few minutes then started blinking again?
What can be going wrong? When 12v is blinking the AC is fine, no breaks in current. We recreated the problem at home, so we know it's not the connection to the lights or the power at the campsite. It's like the something is getting over stressed maybe the converter, there is also a clicking sound that comes from either the converter or the propane gas alarm. We also didn't have battery, it did not come with
one, though there are hookups for it. We did not get any documents
for the converter and it's not in the starcraft manual? Any ideas?
Thanks.

You should put a battery in it. Most Converter have a battery charger circuit board, and it will supply power back to the r.v. battery. If the Postive wire going to the battery is touching ground, it will cause trouble.
