|Check and make sure you have a good ground. Locate the ground wire and make sure the connection is making good clean contact to its grounding point.
Do you hear a clicking noise like it is trying to work?
Make sure that all pivot points are properly lubricated. They get dirty and stick, causing the steps not to function properly.
If you have a bank of solenoids connected to your battery disconnect switch usually connected to the firewall on the passengers side. Hidden under a plastic cover. Normally 2 - 3 solenoids involved. Make sure that one of the circuit breakers haven't tripped and the connections are cleaned. Some of the circuit breakers have a small reset button on them, and they will pop up when kicked out. They are hard to see. You will have to look carefully or feel for these little pop up buttons.
