Too many cables on house battery Sean 12-12-02
I've got a class C, with five cables superimposed on the house battery's positive terminal. The cables are:
1. Connection to main motor charging system.
2. Starting power for generator
3. Connection to house power converter
4. Slideout
5. Leveling jacks.

Needless to say, just fitting all these on is a struggle, making any kind of battery maintenance a real nightmare.

Does anyone know of any kind of distribution box I could install near the battery, connect all these cables to the distribution box, and then have one cable running from the battery to the box? Thanks.

Depends on the size of the extra cables. Are they heavy guage, (1/0 or larger or 8-10 gauge)?

The unit is in storage, so I can't run out and check it. They are "battery sized cables", I'm guessing about a half an inch in diameter (outside the sheathing).

One thing to remember is that I have a really hard time coming up with a scenario how I could place a significant load on two or more of those loads at the same time.

Just built or buy a buss bar, any battery dealer should have that in stock,
if none in your area, buitl one, 3/8"X 6" of soft copper tube (hammered flat), an isulated pad (rubber, wood,) 1 or 2 (as needed) =battery terminal adapter for side post, 2= 1/4X 3/4 to 1" bolt &nuts trough the flatted tubing (your buss bar now) 2 extra nuts to hold the wire snug on. repeat with 4= 5/16" size, 2 3/8". you now got the best buss bar in the world of RV.
wrench ( If too complicated, stop by & I canl install one).
