220 into 110. Greg 9-9-15
Did not know the box on my house was wired for 220. I even tested but did not push probe in far enough on one positive. Went inside coach and turned on air. It ran for about 30 seconds cycled off and on a few times for about 30 seconds then everything shut down. No 12v in cabin and no 120. Breakers did not trip and genset is dead. Coach starts fine.

I have an electrician coming to help me poke around. Where should we start.

1ST Transfer switch is smoked. This is the auto device to change from genset to shore power.

This oops should not have hurt the genset.

2nd Buy an AC, Microwave, Probably a 120 to 12 volt converter. All 120 volt items will need to be test run.

The 12 volt breakers are probably tripped and need to be reset or replaced. They are located at the end of the positive battery cable.

Set up the house with a 50 amp plug, your electrician knows this as a "Range Plug".
