If the 12 volt items, lights, furnace, etc work while plugged in the converter works.

The battery is disconected from the trailer in this case. Follow the positive cable, usually through a wall, there is a false wall usually in the pass through storage to take out, and there will be several 12 volt conections and usualy tree 12 volt breakers at the end of the battery positive wires. Check these first.

If yo need a converter you probably need a 45 amp or 55 amp stand alone converter. There are several brands that will fill the need.

Good Luck

I have a 1996 24 foot mallard 5th wheel and am trying to locate the battery charger, which \I think is burnt out? I believe the convertor is working as the stereo system, and lights work when plugged into 120 household circuit.
