I have a 1976 starcraft tent trailer, when I hook it up to the car, There is no power going to the running and tail lights nothing. I know there is power on the plug on the car. What should i be looking for? to find were the problem is?

I had the same problem with my starcraft a couple of years ago. After 30+ years the wiring wore away and shorted out. I had to fuse the wires together and tape it up really good. Plug in the light connection, use a line tester just past the connection to make sure the problem is not in the connection, and check the wiring every few feet until you get no response.
