I just bought a 1989 Fleetwood Southwind. I drove it back from Pheonix, Az and everything worked perfect. I did not have one problom. When I got home my son showed me how to take the face plate off of the stereo. I put it back on and it has not worked since and also my T.V. and my steps are not working either. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. One thing I start my generator and my T.V. will work, but still not my stereo, or my steps. Could this be from a fuse that I have not checked or missed, or my electrical conversion panel? I am stumped. Any ideas will help and I will be grateful for.
Thank You,

My 1989 Southwind lost power to the Air Conditioner last night when it was plugged in to RV receptical. It works on the generator but not thru 120 ac
receptical. The generator and power cord run thru 2 seperate conduits up into the coach but I can't find where they go to inside. There's a 120v switch in the cupboard along with a front and rear ac unit selector switch but ther is no power coming in unless the generator is running. where is the switch box that changes from rv plug to generator?
My guess is that you somehow blew a fuse, although it is unusuall to have the step on the same circut as the tv and stereo. I would not blame the kid, tempting as it might be, cause if it was going to blow it is better to blow it at home than on the road. Look first for your chassis fuse panel up under the dash left side and the chassis manual should indicate the radio fuse position. If it is not a fuse check your battery ground cables.
The fuel leak is coming from some kind of a pressure valve on the side of fuel tank, between the engine and the fuel tank it only leaks when the veh is running, Does anyone know the name of this valve? and where I can get one?
