After replacing hydro boost & brake master cylinder, all wheels are locked. Bob 2-18-08
Hello, i have a 1977 Vogue Motorhome with a Dodge M400 chassis (class A) with a 440 engine. I have replaced the hydro boost and the brake master cylinder. Now, when I start the motorhome, all four wheels lock up. When the engine is off, the wheels spin freely. I am at a loss as to what is going on. I have bleed and re-bleed the brake system, and I have bleed the power steering system (by turning the wheel, lock to lock, mulitple times. Would you know why my wheels are locked up. Any assitance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. Bob

Just a guess
but on some old Dodge type MH's the "rod" between the brake pedal and the actual Master cylinder was "adjustable" I had a 77 Dodge and same thing happened--I took master cyl loose--- the rod was to long -I turned the adjustment shorter and all went fine--
took a couple times to get it right.

Rich, thank you so much for your advice. i appreciate you responding. if you could, one more question please? after my brake pedal there is a push rod going to the power booster. THEN, between the power booster and the brake master cylinder there is a rod that pushes the front cup of the piston within the master cylinder itself. are you talking about the one before the booster or the one within (between) the master cylinder itself. I guess if it is the one between the booster and master, i will have to disassemble them to make the adjustment. again, thanks so much rich, you're a savior. Bob
