I own a 2000 Holiday Rambler Admiral with a GM Workhorse powertrain. I have a problem that has surfaced... the electric brake is set and will not release. the motorhome will not budge. How can I release this brake? I have tried to remove power to reset but that did not work... any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this are greatly appreciated.
I think you may be low on the fluid used to hold off the brakes. Many of them leak fluid from a pressure switch an fluid gets to low to pump up pressure to release the brake.I think its a switch near the pump with a green plastic like case. Check back and see if Rich checks in here as he knows that system well.My old Itasca does not use that system because the weight rating is much lower. Good Luck Mike
Thanks Mike

Thanks for your input mike and rich... I am going to look into low fluid thing... I would have never known that there was a different fluid for the auto park... thanks again,
I have an 86 Itasca with hydralic breakes. I have two questions that I need help with. 1. When I apply the brakes at high speed (60 mph) the motor home shutters and vibrates. 2. At times when I start from a stop the same shuttering and vibration occurs, only it feels like the brakes are locked up and won't release. Has anybody out there had the same experience or ideas on what the problem might be? Also, I have had the brakes serviced front and rear and that has not solved the problem.
Thanks for all of your help guys! After being sidelined with a blown cervical disc, I was able to get under the RV this last weekend. That was the problem! My owners manual didn't even list that as a "place to add fluid" Good thing I found this blog! my next step was to call a mechanic out to tow it in to a shop. I really appreciate the help on this small problem that could have been very EXPENSIVE to repair...
