I have a 99 chassis and just developed a auto brake problem as well. The light on the dash stays on, but the brake still works. On a recent trip a few times the park brake released slowly, but it worked. Where would I find the swith that works this system? It has a seperate pump, it does not work off of the power steering.
Thanks for any help.

My 1993 Airsteam RV was out of commission for over 8 months as I couldn’t find anyone to repair the leaky MAXI BRAKE. Searching online I found a repair shop in Florida, I just had the MAXI BRAKE AUTO PARK BRAKE ACTUATOR rebuilt by Jose. He’s very knowledgeable and superb customer service. Jose provided mailing instructions via email and I received my rebuilt unit in just 4 days. I can’t recommend him enough!
Contact information for Jose is:

I have a holiday rambler imperial 93 with a chevy p30 chassis where can i get info on this parking brake. the parking brake releases slow then sometimes it pulsates.the hydroboost and master cyl are new. when i go under the frame i can feel some type of valve pulsating only when you put the trans in drive or reverse.that valve is activated when i place the trans in drive or reverse then it begins to pulsate. 803-222-5828
I have a 98 chevy p30 5.7 I just bought and the brakes stick. Meaning I was moving it in my driveway and pushed the brakes and the pedal stayed down and the truck wouldn't move so they were definitly on. I can take my foot and pull the brake pedal up and they disengage. looks like the brakes are run off of the power steering. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this please let me know.
I'm having a problem with my 1995 airstream land yacht auto-park sysytem. When I go to back up most of the time the auto-park lite doesn't go out and the rv will not move. When I shift into neutral or any forward gears, every thing works great. I was told that maybe the switch needs to be rotated. What switch? and where? The fluid level is proper in the auto-park reservoir. Thanks for your help.
The auto park has a seperat resevior under the camper. Follow the drive shaft forward to the Break drum, on on the rear side if the break drum there is an aluminum box, you'll find the cap and fill on the back side of that aluminum box.
This design is a suck pill, mine locked my camper tight while in the middle of now place. My only solution was to cut the cable to free up the camper to get it home. The regular breaks work fine (DONT RECOMMEND DOING THIS). I have all the parts to fix it but with the horror stories of this think locking up at full speed i'm in to hurry.
I'll probably relace all the parts my self and bring it to the RV place to "align" the green switch from hell, but be assured i'll be keeping a hack saw on board at all times for this crap design.
Best of luck. Dont forget to chaulk your wheels if you do turn to drastic measures.

for a substantive discussion about this parking brake. Also, go to Workhorse site (assuming you have a Chevy engine); you will find a manual about your chassis, in the PARTS MANUALS section(You will have to register to get the download).
Auto park has its own hydrolic pump with a pressure switch: you could be out of oil (Dexron trans fluid) or the pressure switch is dead.
The brake, which sits behind the transmission, must have oil pressure to release; it can be disabled; without oil pressure to release it in drive, it stays set and the RV won't move...
The brake does not release promply in reverse. Also should this brake release instantly when you shift. Mine seens to delay a few seconds. the coach is a 33ft land yaght 1966
I have a 97 damon motor home on a p32 chasis. The auto park light stays on even when the brake is released. Can you tell me how the curcet works and what swiches are used....
Also the fluid is milky like it may have goten some water in the resivoir. Please advise.
I need to see a diagram of the P30/32 Auto Park Brake System to see if my 1996 Kountry Star RV has it, I do not know if I have that system or not. The back brakes do not seem to work properly.
I have a 1997 Winnebago Brave with a Chevy 454 P-30 chassis. I am trying to repair the emergency brake and need to know how the linkage is hooked up. It has a drum mounted to the rear of the transmission and is activated by either putting the trans in park or with the foot control. Looking at the way the linkage is currently hooked up there is no way the foot control will activate the e brake levler.
I too am looking for a diagram, parts illustration, break down to the park brake system on my '94 Winnebago. I need to repair the shoes in the drum and need to see how it is disassembled.
Thanks
Jim
