We have replaced the acuator, pressure maintenance switch, relay switch, light switch, selonoid valve. The system still does work properly. When you put into gear the pump comes on and builds pressure, shut off, within a few seconds the selonoid valve starts to click, pump comes back on and then stops again. The light on dash never goes out, it flashes along with the selonoid clicking. Keeps repeating this every few minutes.I can unplug the wire from the pressure maintenance switch, the light goes out, selonoind does not click and it maintains constant pressure.
If you can help please email bllckrodney@aol.com or call 706-235-5661 after 5:00 p.m. eastern.
With out seeing the circuit it hard to say,but have you measured the switch wire for any resistence to ground (leakage).Does the switch connect to a electronic circuit?? Maybe the resistance with a Simpson type meter or even a hand crank Megger that will put a higher voltage on it when testing.Does any voltage show up on the switch wire when connected? I will look up in some GM manuals and see how its connected up Mike
Pump runs, does not turn off. I have unhooked the wires from the pressure switch and jumpered it, still runs and light stays on dash. Was blowing a 10 amp fuse in dash, put a new selonoid and coil on, fuse no longer blows. Do not have the deep cycle batteries in the motorhome, don't know if that would cause problem. Just cleaned frame and painted undercarrage, then this brake problem occured.
