Its 1975 winnebago 25 ft.with dodge 440 engine and vacum assisted brakes..when brake is first applied seems o.k. ,but after about 10 seconds it does not hold well!.and engine idles poorly... also i need a new roof. i am considering a rhino plastic bed liner spray-on..???has anyone any ideas or comments..?thanks lyndsey..

Do this, with engine off, apply brakes 4 or 5 times, (on-off-on-off--etc.). Now apply and hold brakes, if pedal "fades" away towards floor boards, replace master cylinder, it's by-passing internally. If pedal holds firm, then, still holding brakes on, start engine. Pedal should drop to a lower point, then hold firm, this is a test for your booster. I think your problem is the master cylinder, however.
