Hi, I have a pop-up camper which is equipped with electric brakes, just got a controller installed to my truck, but there are no nubers reading when I plug the trailor in to the truck. I noticed a black wire is cut. And there is a black wire with a female end, that is just hanging in the wind, could this be my problem?

My husband is very frustrated he is trying to get the wiring for a pop up trailer and a 2003 ford super crew cab to work together. either he has brake lights or he doesn't. he can either get the left and right blinkers to work or they don't. if it is not one thing coming on or working it's another. we leave for vacation on friday june 8 and need help asap thank you

I've aquired a Kelsey brake controller that has a rotary knob on the right side and a springloaded slide control at the front that slides from right to left, which is marked ENERGISE. Does anyone have info on this model, and also a wiring diagram? Thanks Fred

I have a Doolittle Car hauler, & some one Stole th Battery for the Winch, & thi small brake away Battery.......destroying the wires. One of the biggest Questions is the 2 Green wires going into each brake drum. does it matter whick i connect the Blue Brake wire to, & the other green wire looks like it goes to the ground. Because its a magnet ( will this Mattter ?? ) Thank you in advance Steve C.

I just installed a new 7-way trailer tow harness on my 2005 durango and am not sure what or where to hook up the blue wire that the diagram shows should be pulled into the cab area via the large plug area on the firewall. Is this for the electric brakes? Help!! Thanks, Ed

I have a Kelsey Brake Box that doesn't light up anymore under the dash when I press on the brake. When I hook up my RV trailer & turn on the lights, the lights all come on & the turn signals all work but not the brakes. Brake lights come on when I press the brake but no brakes are stopping the RV. Does the box need to be replaced or could it be something else?

Where do I find the blue electric brake wire and the yellow aux wire up front? I found them in the harness in the rear of my 1998 Silverado but don'y seem to be able to find them under the hood or dash.

I have a Haulmark trailer with electric brakes, also tow with 2001 F250 7.3 L Powerstroke. Intermittently when I hit the brakes the truck actually dies completely, this only happens when the trailer is hooked up and it has happened with 2 trailers with electric brakes. Have replaced the controller and plug assembly. HELP

I have 2 trailers that both have trailer brakes. My brakes work great on one trailer but the other trailer only works with the manual brake lever, not the brake pedal. The light on the controller turns green when the trailer is plugged in to the Durango. I have checked the connector contacts. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Doug Dunne

Hook the white wire to the negative of the battery than hook the black wire to a fuse in open slot in your fuse box un your hood make sure that it has a 20 amp fuse in it,after that hook up the black wire to the battery, than hook the red wire to the to the electric brake of your car that under your dash hooks to your brake pedal. finaly you hook up your blue wire to the truck connector. you should have the 6 or 7 hole connector there youll also hook up your tail lights, turn signal, and your brake light. I hope that help

Hi I have two axle and they are mobile home axel I have found brakes it is hard to find brakes that they are no longer made any ways if you can help me Im try to hook up the electric brake wires I dont know if all the wires hooks up together there is 2 wires coming of each drum I have 4 drums do I hook up all the positive together and all the negative together and than put then in to female connector is there some kind of (t) connnector were it be connect to teo wires and com out as one. thanks for reading this hope to hear from you

I've had my s & h trailer for less than 2 years and my electric brakes quit working. My Tekonsha works because i also have a travel trailer i use it with. when i push on my brake it goes from green to red then completely out. i measured the ohmns on one magnet and it reads 4 ohmns. the other 3 together read 1.5 ohmns combined. can you please give me some advise on how to troubleshoot the wiring and brakes. I have two wires coming out of brake drum, and two wires coming out of axle, should I solder one green wire out of drum to black and white wire coming out of axle? Ed, The blue wire dose go to the brake box,you should have four wires on the back of the brake box Blue to brake box,white ground,black power and red to brake switch.Remember to use a circuit braker on the black power wire between the sorce of power and the brake box.Good luck and i hope this helped. I have a Tekonsha Electric Brake switch. My problem is that I am not getting power from the wire at the trailer hitch. Is there anyway to check the power behind the switch? I know the wire coming from the brake switch has power to the controller, but should the black or white wire have power before the brake is applied, or does the switch just use the power from the brake switch to send power to the brakes? There is a cable in the glovebox that goes from the computor to the brake controller.

There is a socket to the left of the brake pedal on the fw. I just picked up the wire harness from GM to go with my Reese digital controller. You may need a 40amp fuse as well that goes under the hood.
