Brake problems Richard McCullough 8-7-01
I recently acquired a 54-57 FitzJohn Roadrunner (it's a 35' Grehound type bus). The brake drums are in bad shape and I’m afraid they may not be turnable. Do you know of any method to restore these drums perhaps by welding to build the walls back up where they could be turned or lining them in some way or a brake drum from another vehicle that would fit this bus?

I recomend pulling a wheel and getting what numbers can be read then get a heavy duty supplier to se if he can cross, our local guy just did a 63 western flyer for me. He may be able to go by measurements but I have to drag the bare drum in, also old time drums were designed to be turned and you may be pleasently surprised.
