Re: Bus frozen ! by Mat
Post New Message I'm having the same problem with my rig right now.
I found out that the Hydraulic Park Break system on it ("It's a crap system" words from the truck repair technician) sets a lock on the transmission hub to lock the motorhome from moving. I had to crawl under my rig and cut 1 piece off near the transmission to relase the hub lock with a sawz-all. I drove it yesterday to the local truck repair place once I got the hub to release. It will cost $105.00 to re-adjust the tension on the manual release and the valves being overhauled.

I would check on the rust issue before going to this lenth however. At times the most simple is the fix it needs. Start at the simplest and go from there.

I had a problem with the motorhome b4 with the charging system. I removed the alternator and had it rebuilt. come to find out it was just a ground wire from the alternator to the frame and rusted off. I could had cut the wire stripped it put a new connector on myself and reattached to the frame for.65 cents and 10 minutes intstead of 1 1/2 hours and $114.00 later.

HOpe all works out.

Mat
