I had an after market stereo installed in my 2003 Chevy Cavalier 3 years ago. Just last week my fuse for the radio, int light and trunk light blew. When I replaced it, my dash started to smoke. I took the car to the dealer and they say that it needs a new wiring harness (about $400) does this sound right? Is it possible for me to do it myself? Any suggestions/advice/tips?
My 2002 chevy cavalier just shuts down while stopping at a light. The icons on the dash board all flickered and then the car shut down. Horn, interior lights worked, but when turning the key, it was dead. Got a level three diagnostic from Midas; who got the car started, but a day later it happened again. Also when Im at a light, my foot on the brake, the car acts as if it wants to move forward or surges. Please help me anyone!
