I have a problem with the hydroboost blowing out power steering fluid between the master cylinder and the hydroboost. i'm guessing the hydroboost needs to be rebuilt, am i correct on this being a hydroboost system. Also has a bendix motor attached to it as well. Where can i find a rebuilt unit. Rig has a john deere frame, ford 460.
I am having a hydro boost problem also...I hear the power steering squelling noise when applying the brakes, and the brake pedel seems to be lower to the floor and not stopping the coach like it use to.......is this something I can replace? what have you to recommend?..thanks....
86 Bounder 454 Chev P30 chassis, brakes worked fine until I parked it in storage lot 2 months ago. Now brakes go to the floor and the fluid in the front brakes is empty. When I refill it, the brakes still go to the floor after bleeding the system. Since I've had the rig, brake fluid goes down somewhat, I refill it twice a year. No leaks on the ground. Is this a hydroboost problem, and if so is a rebuild necessary?
