The brake booster and master cylinder are new. The right caliper locked up. I replaced the right caliper, it locked up again. I replaced the hose and I'm OK. Now a year later the left side locks. I replaced the hose and it still locks up. The caliper seems to release OK. I've searched this forum and found many threads with the same problem but no real answer. I have play in my pedal so I don't feel it's too tight or not releasing enough to cause pressure to build up. Now I step on the pedal hard, feel a click and I've driven 20 miles with no problem. I've read here someone replaced the whole system and the front brakes still lock up. Is there an answer to this comon problem? Still have some hair to pull out but I am hoping someone has a soultion.
I have a 88 mallard sprinter my break booster is leaking and it needs to be replace. Does anyone know how much and where can i find a used one, or rebuild the old one??
Kofi, I just ran into same problem that you have and I went to AutoZone purchased a remanuafacture with cord exchanged. It cost me $138.00 and prolem solved. It would be nice if you can find a rebuid kit (some lucky member found and it cost around $40.00) good luck.
