Replacing existing hyd w/ air brakes on schoolbus hoback-jo 9-6-04
I am looking for a mid-size school bus for conversion...I am having enough trouble finding one with all my criteria.
I want air brakes because of the stoping power and they aren't as expensive as Hydraulic sytems on vehicles of this size and because i want to integrate the system for my water pressure rather than use an electric pump.

MY QUESTION: How hard and expensive/feasible would it be to put air brakes on a school bus already equipped with Hyd. brakes?

Huge exspense and not going to be legal unless you can find an entire system from and otherwise identical unit, Buy a small compressor for air pressure and buy a bus with the weight rating you need, the brakes will be more than good enough.
