Test procedure - P30 -Power Boost System Pete 6-2-04
I've replaced Hydor-boost, parking brake valve, PS pump, accuator valve, thing worked for about a week and went and lost boost again - backing fluid out of reservor & foaming. (Original problem) Anyone have the step by step test instruction for this system?? Loosing Hope!! Pete

Does your MH have an autopark parking brake system? If it is the older type that uses the power steering pump to operate, then it is possible that the autopark cylinder is travelling to far and pushing the fluid out or showing it over full. This was generally caused by worn out parking brake shoes.

Since you replaced everything else, you make want to see if it's tied together on yours.

Hey Pete, I have a 92 pace arrow on a p30 system. I have replaced the parking brake release valve and had to bleed the system by turning the steering wheel left to right about 40 times. This was done with the front jacks down and in neutral. Fixed the air in the lines. This weekend my reservor started overflowing & foaming and making lots of noise. I thought it was the power steering pump so I replaced it. I got it home and it started doing the same thing. My dealer stated it could possobly be a worn hose colapsing under preasure. Hope this helps. Mike
