If your disk brakes are locked up when cold there is no free play between the master cylinder and the hydroboost.
If the E=brake drum on the back of the tranny will not release try adjusting the brake shoes, then adjust the brake cable at the actuator, then bleed the actuator. There is a 1/4" bleed screw at the actuator. If these are way out of adjustment it will force the actuator piston to travel too far completely draining the ps reservoir causing air to enter the ps pump and hydroboost. The pump gets noisey

Having a similar problem except brakes not locking up, the pedal gets hard and no steering assist.
I noticed the fluid level in expansion resevoir drops below the bottom and sucks air. I'll adjust the travel on the autopark brake and cross my fingers!
This thing is driving me nuts!
Does anyone know where I can get the actuator? It has small leak at shaft.

Try Workhorse Parts at 800-553-5539, ask for Wally. Workhorse bought all P-30 parts, they are all discontinued from Chevy 0r Gm. Good luck
