|We have an opportunity to purchase the above-subject motor home but have read some of your posts regarding the brakes with the P30. It also has P30 Chassis and a 454.|
Good or bad idea???

|Once any motor home is more than a few years old the chances are it will have a needed repair.|
The bigest problem with the P30 park is that people don't understand it andf won't do basic trouble shooting with out spending a bunch of money
My best advice is in two parts
If you can fix this stuff yourself, it will save you a bunch of money
If you can't fix it your self find somebody like me or Rich in VA that will stay calm and figure out whats wrong or is familiar with the system.
I think you should evaluate the Motor Home based on how good it is, not the common troubles, they all have a common problem or two.

Yes we are here to Help as much as possible--
as for a 84 Model-a lot of parts are getting VERY hard to find,
1.how many miles are on this unit.?
2.have the steering checked out thoroughly.
3. the Brakes.these units used the powers steering to assist with Braking.
4, i would (pay)my 2 cents, to have this unit inspected before you attempt to buy, have a written inspection, exactly what was inspected and their Honest Opinion.remember this unit Is made in 83---titled in 84.
