Auto Park and emergency brake not holding. Robert 4-29-10
I have a 1997 Southwind on a 1996 Chevy chassis. My auto park and emergency brake is not holding. I'd like to adjust my emergency brake cable to make sure it is not an adjustment problem. I would appreciate any info. Also, are there any shop manuals covering this brake system?

The parking brake is located at the back of the transmission. You will need to pull the drum off. There is a star wheel adjuster just like a car rear brakes. Adjust it out as needed.
Make sure wheels are chocked before you start. Medium mechanical skills are helpful to do this procedure. Good luck.
