|Auto park Brake||Willie M. Robinson||3-20-10|
|I have a 1999 fleetwood flair class A motorhome and having problems with the autopark brake. Both the brake light and auto park stays on in the instrument panel. The auto park brake does not work and has locked up. On a hill the motorhome will roll if I don't chock the wheels. All fluid in the reservoirs are full, and no leaks.|
Any help will be appreciated,

1.replace the green switch.GM #

2. replace the Grey switch GM #

3. add NEW Dextron oil "about a quart"
4 adjust(tighten)the shoes in the shaft brake drum,same procedure as any vehicle with Brake shoes-TIGHTEN TILL TIGHT BACK OFF 5--6 CLICKS.
test to see if system holds-if NOT replace the shoes-GM # 15619929-and spring kitGM 15646877-due to excessive heating (they would be weak)

I am having issues with my 99 Winne.
The auto park brake will not disengage at all, but when watching activity from below, I can hear the pump coming on and turning off, but have eliminated the maint switch (effectively bypassed it). It seems that once the motor starts, something clicks similar to a current-limiter like the motor is drawing too much and cutting off then in about 20 seconds it kicks back on and runs for about 1/2 second and shuts off again. I just pulled out the pump assembly and was going to give it a once over to see if I can validate the motor is functional or if there is something wrong with it. Have you any experience on this?
Thanks - so much for our camping adventure! Thankful it happened at home and not on the road for sure.
