P-30 Automatic Parking Brake Terrill Shanks 8-12-09
I have a 1997 Rexhall motorhome. Parking brake seems to set but will not hold the motorhome. There is a leak coming from the brake drum on the rear of the transmission. Does anyone have information on how to repair the brake drum and replace the pads? Also, I would like to purchase a repair manual for the 1997 P-30 Chassi. Where can I get this manual if it is still available?

Hello Terrill;
a leak inside the Parking brake drum is the Transmission rear seal. that's why the brake (shoes) in the Auto-Park wont hold,there is oil on them. replace the seal.go to GM dealer ask them for the Procedure for replacing the seal---it's to long to type here,
rich in Va.
