Re: brakes BUBBA THE BUS TECH 6-17-09
Uh.... make and model of chaissis is important here. Butt if it is vacume boost this is bad, if it has a hydro-boost system driven by the power steering this is normal. Good Luck
Re: brakes in conjunction with cruise Lance Amatulli 6-22-09
Put in a new cruise control (rebuilt) on my 1996 Allegro bus on an Oshkosh chassis. It will bump up and maybe run from 1 to 12 miles (the 1st time after rebuild) then cuts off like you touched the brake peddle. A friend has a semi and he had a small brake switch sticking. I have found 4 small switches under the chassis in front but do not have a diagram and do not know how to test each or how to tell which one may need repelaced. The King cruise control guy kept telling me that it sounded like a brake problem as the cruise had all new components, but each time it would kick out it seemed like the brake had been touched to cause it. Any advice you can give me would be appreciated muchly. thanks a lot in advance.
