|Auto park break problem||Jim Miller||5-26-09|
|I have a 1998 p30. After a 500 mile trip this week-end I backed the coach into the drive put it in park and it started to roll forward. As far as I know it was fine before as i had it parked this way prior to leaving. I had another person tell me it could be the break pads at the rear of the tranny. They said they did the repairs themselves. Took the pads off and had them resurfaced and it fixed the problem. Is this something the better than average Joe can do?? I'm pretty handy. Do you have to remove the drive shaft at the rear of the tranny first?? Any help would be appriciated. thanks Jim|

i sent e-mail to you.
yes the Auto-Park brake shoes are replacable--I have the part # but they are adjustable also---it's a lot of work to get it up in the air, Safely-on substantional stands,Key on and out of park-so drive shaft turns---they adjust like any other Drum type brake system--
