|Auto-parking brake makes clunking noise||Bob Patrick||11-15-08|
|I have a 94 Dolphin class A motor home. It is a P30 Chevy. When I put it in gear the parking brake comes off but it makes a clunking noise. I was going to check the power steering fluid but I can't find where to check it? I found the pump but it doesn't have a filler neck or cap on the pump? where do I check the fluid? and does anyone have any idea's on what is causing the nosie?|

|I found the place to check and fill the power steering fluid. I was full so that wasn't my problem.|

for a substantive discussion about this parking brake. Also, go to Workhorse site (assuming you have a Chevy engine); you will find a manual about your chassis, in the PARTS MANUALS section(You will have to register to get the download).
The brake, which sits behind the transmission, must have oil pressure to release; it can be disabled; without oil pressure to release it in drive, it stays set and the RV won't move...
